Every day of mine starts with the constant ringing of my alarm for some years now. Then the usual rush to be ready and out of the door within the time frame. But from the past one month, the routine after that just changed. Earlier if it was to get to office fighting the morning blues and traffic, now it’s to catch the bus, be at the mess and to enter class before the roll calls.
I am back to college after a break and umpteen events in life. I am happy that I took that one step to write the entrance and attend the interview of this one. There are times during the long lectu\nres when I feel that my office cabin was much better than this classroom. Or when the monotonous mess food gives a bland taste I blame myself for leaving my mom’s food. Or when the city traffic and cabs get under the skin, that i just want to feel the steering of my own car. But at the end of the day, I am glad I choose to be here at this moment of my life. The past can hurt, very badly. But you cannot run from it though you can ignore it but it’s always important to learn from it and pick the pieces and start building a new present and live it.

The past is history, the future unknown so best to live in the present. All the best with your studies.

Choosing to learn is a wiser choice in literal sense as well.
Short and powerful post.

Nice one Sheethal! I am intrigued to know more .. what was the past that led him/her to take this step and what will happen next. That’s the sign of good storytelling, isn’t it?. 🙂

Life is about choices. I had also gone back to B-school after working for 2 yrs in a Market Research company. Probably that’s why I could relate to every word here. All the best. I’m sure this is going to turn out to be a great decision.

Oh wow, nicely expressed. Leaving the freedom one has when working behind, just so as to pursue something one always wanted isn’t easy. But therein lies the determination and the possibility of having a dream come true. Nice!
